Our hunting area has a very strong black bear population with the expectation of a 6 1/2 to 7 foot bear being reasonable. The real jewel of our area is that it is in the heart of the most productive (Glacier Bear) country in the state. The Glacier Bear is a rare color phase of the coastal black bear with colors rangeing from a light gray to a steel blue-gray. These hunts take place in the spring and are tent based. They can be in combination with brown bear hunt.
